IDEFI-CréaTIC
At the end of 2011, Paris 8 University submitted a bid in response to the Initiatives of Excellence call for projects in Innovative Training. It brought together partners such as West Paris Nanterre-La Défense University, the Maison des Sciences Humaines Paris Nord (North Paris Centre for Human Sciences), the Conservatoire National Supérieur d’Art Dramatique (National Drama Academy), the National Archives and 37 foreign partners.
At the beginning of 2012, the CréaTIC project was accepted and awarded a budget of €5.2 million over 8 years. It is built around five fundamental principles: creation as an epistemological driver of innovative teaching methods (in Workshop-Laboratories), systematic use of cutting-edge digital technologies for teaching and collaborative work, personalised student guidance (from recruitment through to graduation) within the framework of project-based teaching methods, evaluation and transparent results, and labour-market integration.
The project kicked off at the start of the 2013-2014 academic year with 15 Masters Courses and the 5 initial partners. Its contractual ambition is to grow as quickly as possible to take in a large number of students (target of 2,000 students by the end of the programme in 2019) on those training courses that are already accredited and on other Masters courses applying for accreditation. Today, CréaTIC boasts 17 training courses and 24 workshop-laboratories open to over 500 students.
